Privacy policy

In short

cursed.boo is a joke service. We collect only what we need to send a joke curse and keep you logged in. We don’t sell data and don’t show ads.

What we store

Your email address — to send login codes and to recognise your account.

Curses you create: the name, the reason, the chosen punishment, the language and the date. Before saving, the name and the reason pass automatic moderation and may be shortened or rewritten.

A preview image of each curse that your browser draws when you send it.

A hashed (not readable) version of your IP address — to limit abuse. We don’t store the IP itself.

Two cookies: a login session cookie (90 days) and your language choice (1 year). We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who helps us

Cloudflare — hosting, database, file storage, bot protection (Turnstile) and cookieless visit statistics (Web Analytics).

Google (Gemini API, paid tier) — moderates the name and the reason of a curse. Google does not use this data to train its models.

Zoho (ZeptoMail) — sends emails with login codes.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the USA, under their standard data-protection terms.

How long we keep it

Curses and accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. A deleted curse stops opening immediately; its record is kept so the daily free limit keeps working. Login codes and sessions are removed automatically after they expire.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete your account and all your curses completely. Write to exorcist@cursed.boo from the email address of your account.

If someone cursed you and you want the curse gone, press “Delete” on the curse page — no account needed.

Age

The service is for people aged 16 and over.
